Nausea for pregnancy - is it your friend or foe? Pregnancy is often signaled by morning sickness, although it
can be a real pain for some women. However, some women are just lucky enough to go
through
pregnancy without going through nausea for pregnancy. For most women though, pregnancy can be an uncomfortable
time physically and morning sickness only adds to that.
Actually, some women are actually worried about not developing morning sickness. These women think that the
absence of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy may cause a greater risk for miscarriages. Although
scientifically, this idea has not been confirmed yet, the logic among women with these beliefs is that the
cause of the absence of nausea and vomiting is due to the insufficient amount of hormones in their system, and
is believed to cause complications during pregnancy.
Nausea for pregnancy may be no more than just an unpleasant and embarrassing routine on the nine months of
pregnancy to you. But experts agree that morning sickness plays an important role to protect your baby. Part of
the food we eat comes from plants. These plants mostly contain substances that are perfectly fine to eat
however for pregnant women, there are some exceptions.
Normally, adults have defenses against toxins. For fetus however, these defenses are still under developed. And
what's normal to an adult to eat can be fatal to an under developed fetus. Some feel that morning sickness if
the body's response to a potentially harmful substance for the baby.
During pregnancy, a woman's immune system is suppressed. This means that the body will not have a chance to
fight off any infection in the body leaving it susceptible to various diseases causes by different micro
organisms. This suppression in the immune system is only temporary, and only to prevent the rejection of the
developing fetus. Everything returns to normal after delivery. It is nausea and vomiting during pregnancy that
helps makes women picky and careful on the kind of food to eat.
Research was also conducted to find out if nausea for pregnancy could actually guarantee a successful pregnancy
or just an unpleasant by product of pregnancy. According to the study, humans were the only mammals who
experiences morning sickness. Women who do not have morning sickness during their pregnancy are still likely to
have a normal, healthy baby.
Don't have morning sickness? That's ok. Some women are just better prepared to handle the hormone fluctuations
of pregnancy that others. Also, some women will experience morning sickness with every pregnancy, while others
will only get it with some of their pregnancies.
