The Benefits of Memory Foam
Have many of us have tossed
and turned throughout the night to wake up mentally and
physically exhausted? The problem is more than likely
due to the mattress or the pillows we are using.
Memory foam was developed to effectively
eliminate such problems by ensuring a good night’s
sleep.
In any normal sleep pattern, a person’s body must be relaxed
and receptive to falling asleep. We cannot drift into a deep
sleep, if our cardio-vascular system has not slowed down or our
blood pressure is sky high. The more we try to go to sleep, the
more difficulty we have. The flat surface of regular bedding is
not made for comfort and without memory foam, mattresses and
pillows do not provide the support we need.
In addition, research has shown that conventional mattresses
and pillows tend to retain moisture and heat, which contribute
to discomfort and irregular sleep habits. The benefits of
memory foam are also in its ability to adapt to the changing
pressure and position of the body, by adjusting to its natural
contours. Memory foam is beneficial, as well, because it allows
the air to circulate and cool normal body temperatures.
Another benefit of memory foam is that it provides for the
size and shape of each individual. If one person is heavier
than the other, for example, memory foam has the capability of
adapting to the differences in weight and contour. No more
falling into the pit in the middle of the bed left by a larger
and heavier partner. For anyone with back problems, insomnia,
or other sleep disturbing factors, memory foam is the
answer.
