Ways to Cleanse Your Colon

Colon cleansing can be done
naturally by following a few standard suggestions such as to
eat foods that are high in fiber. Eat plenty of
vegetables, fruits, nuts, and if at all possible it is great if
you can stick with an all juice fast. You have to stay away
from anything that is non fiber including meat as it holds
absolutely zero fiber content. During a colon cleansing program you MUST exercise
because exercising stimulates the bowel and this is exactly
what you want to do during this procedure.
Water consumption is one thing that can not be
underestimated during a colon cleanse. Water is really the only
thing that you are allowed to drink because you want to drink
nothing that acts as a dehydrator or has any sugar in it. It is
also important to invest in what is called digestive enzymes
which enhances nutrient absorption. Actually, digestive enzymes
should be taken by everyone after each meal to ensure proper
elimination.
A natural and rapid colon cleanse is not always a pleasant
procedure and likely will cause some discomfort but it is
important to know that the discomfort will subside within a
maximum five day period. During this time it is possible that
you could suffer from migraine headaches, nausea, aches and
pains, fever, exhaustion, anxiety disorders such as panic
attacks, crying spells, and depression. When you balance out
the benefits against the whole picture these symptoms are
really a small price to pay for the final outcome of having
your colon cleansed.
Some people prefer a more gradual cleansing process which is
not so drastic. This would include a change in your diet over a
period of weeks that includes eating half of your food raw and
also a supplement such as Metamucil. This is just a bulking
agent and is available just about anywhere. Include at least
two quarts of water per day in this diet as well. If you can
tolerate it, try to drink some of the water hot.
It is important to know that there is no specified time frame
as to how long this cleansing process will take but it is
suggested that it could literally take months. It is also not
something that you will notice an abrupt change from but rather
you will notice more of a gradual change and a better sense of
well being.
